Curt and I had a great talk last night about all of our fertility issues. The issue is how long do we continue to try IUI at about $1000 per try given all of the factors against us...my PCOS and ovulation issues (granted, they've been better!) and now his male factor stuff.
OR do we just buck up and put our money into IVF, where our chances are much much higher? We feel like we could be shelling out for several months of IUI, and even if we did, say, 3 of them, that's about $3k that we could have skimmed off the top of our IVF. So in the end, we did it. We made an appointment for an IVF consult....December 20. The nurse explained they'd like to do CD 3 bloodwork and ultrasound and this can be done either before the appointment or after, but to keep it in mind. Oh boy how I'm hoping we won't need this consult, and by some miracle, we're pregnant from this IUI. Please please please.
